Allen Christian, Steven Granger and Gerald James do the Lord's work, with weekly episodes chronicling the rise of the comic-book adaptation in film. Every episode is a new film, watched and reviewed as in-depth as possible. Personal feelings and misinformation abound, but we'll all learn things together.

Episode #67 - Batman Begins

Allen Christian

We finally made it! Allen, Steven, and Gerald welcome back Mr. Alan Hardy in person as we tackle another full-length commentary, welcome back John Hall remotely from his own home, and welcome for the first time, also remotely, Mr. Matt Burkette to discuss he and Allen's experience seeing the film in theaters 12 years ago.

This episode is a juggernaut, clocking in at nearly 5 hours and 40 minutes, every moment is dissected, and very little strays from the topic of the film. Join us as we give the first installment of The Dark Knight Trilogy the kind of treatment we've given nothing else.

Episode #65 - The Adventures of Ford Fairlane

Allen Christian

This episode we celebrate Steven's birthday by watching his selection of The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, the 1990 Andrew Dice Clay vehicle. The boys discuss the movie, why Allen and Steven love Dice, how much Gerald hates this movie, and the questionable decision to review the movie starring Andrew Dice Clay on International Women's Day.

Also in this episode, Allen and Steven relay their experiences playing the Nintendo Switch and the brand new Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (no spoilers), as it has become an obsession. More Hi-Lo Rotten Tomatoes, featuring the favorite movies of Lacey Day.

Episode #64 - The Crow: Wicked Prayer (a.k.a. "My Satanic Homies")

Allen Christian

The boys make what will likely be their last foray into the straight-to-DVD world with 2005's The Crow: Wicked Prayer, starring Eddie Furlong, Tara Reid, David Borneo, and Dennis Hopper. The movie with a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes for a reason. The Room if it were a poor comic adaptation. The primary discussion ends up being about video games, due to Allen and Steven's excitement about the new Zelda game and everyone's boredom with the movie.

Episode #63 - Man-Thing

Allen Christian

The boys try a new format as they sit down to watch the "Sci-Fi Channel Original" Man-Thing. It's an atrocious piece of garbage and reaffirmation that we should stick to things that came out in theaters. It's arguably the worst adaptation of a source material ever made, and Allen has a special hate for it, given his love of the comics.

Also in this episode, we talk about some news in a new segment, and Gerald poses our first "Question of the Week." Steven gets promoted to "2nd Tier Social Media Specialist" to handle our presence on lesser social media sites, as we hope to be the first podcast with FetLife AND Vampire Freaks accounts. Gerald gets upset that Allen trashes LinkedIn, the guys trash Australia for a minute, then apologize by thanking Australia for their positive cultural contributions.

Episode #62 - Constantine

Allen Christian

Allen, Steven, and Gerald sit down to watch 2005's Constantine, starring Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz, Tilda Swinton, and Gavin Rossdale. It's not the worst thing ever. We discuss Keanu's filmography, question Rossdale's rock star status, lament the existence of Cars 3, Allen spoils the post-credit scene in Shyamalan's Split for Gerald, Steven loves on the Lego Batman Movie, and more bitching about CG actors.

Episode #61 - Elektra

Allen Christian

We watch the Daredevil spinoff, 2005's Elektra. The boys welcome back Rudy "The Booty", and welcome for the first time Mr. Levy Mont. The movie is an awful piece of garbage that never should have been made, and unsurprisingly, no one likes it. Terrence Stamp plays Stick and wears a funny hat, and that's the best thing anyone can say about this movie. So instead, everything else is discussed, like Liam Neeson: Action Star, Mickey Mouse: Black Face, White Spider-Man, and we might accidentally not condemn violence against women enough. A terrible movie reveals terrible people.

Episode #60 - Blade: Trinity

Allen Christian

The boys sit down to polish off the Blade trilogy with 2004's Blade: Trinity. Like the rest of the world, they hate it. The movie is discussed in depth, but not without long digressions into the merits of Phil Collins and U2, a complete disdain for Nirvana, the level of creep Stephen Collins is, Triple H being fat and insecure, Steven's knowledge of muscles, and the success rate of film trilogies.

Episode #59 - Catwoman

Allen Christian

Gerald and Steven watched 2004's Halle Berry vehicle, Catwoman, and do their level best to try to explain it to Allen, taking the time to show him two clips, making for the worst two minutes of his life.

Also in this episode, the boys discuss ICP and the white trash status of Detroit musicians, the merits and timing of mutual oral pleasure, a Vince McMahon presidency, Donald Trump had to be addressed, Billy Corgan and Morrissey get bashed as human beings, and always more wrestling, as Allen and Steven prepare to go to San Antonio for the 2017 Royal Rumble.

Episode #58 - Spider-Man 2

Allen Christian

Alan Hardy joins Allen, Steven, and Gerald to discuss 2004's Spider-Man 2. Everyone agrees that this remains one of the greatest superhero movies ever made, this is James Franco's best performance, and Alfred Molina is wonderful.

Also in this episode, Allen laments having been a 14 year-old dweeb, Gerald is upset to learn that he is no longer in his goth glory days, Kevin Nash is discussed again, because why not, Gerald equates his movie taste to the palate of a raccoon.
